Lion and the Rann of Kutch

The lions present in the tales of sacred Bible range from Persia to North of India and have been now reduced to a tiny region in the Saurashtrian Peninsula in Western India. The lions are popularly known as the Asiatic Lion, present in the Gir National Park.

Gir also has a large population of Leopards that are more easily seen here than elsewhere. Samber, Chital, Chinkara, Chousingha, Nilgai and wild boar are the other species of animals present in the Gir National Park.
North of Gir is the Rann of Kutch where the wild asses thrive numbering over 1000. Wild Asses are found in herds of 30 or so.

Day 1. Delhi - Ahmedabad - Bandhavgarh
The tourists initiate the tour package on the morning of day one. Ahmedabad is reached and the tourists can drive to Bandhavgarh visiting Velavadar sanctuary on the way.

Day 2. Bandhavgarh - Gir
The tourists drive to Gir National Park and an evening excursion is arranged into the Park full of Asiatic Lions.

Day 3. Gir
Day three is spent in an exciting and adventurous incursion in the Gir National Park.

Day 4. Gir
Day four is too spent in an incursion into the Gir National Park in the morning and afternoon.

Day 5. Gir - Zainabad
On day five the tourists drive to Zainabad in the little Rann of Kutch and then the tourists go for an evening trip to the Rann of Kutch.

Day 6. Zainabad
The whole day is spent in a day long incursion to the Rann of Kutch.

Day 7. Zainabad - Ahmedabad - Delhi or Mumbai
The tourists are driven to Ahmedabad so that they can catch the flights to Delhi, the capital of India or Mumbai, the commercial capital of India.
